I am thankful I learned the Hawaiian prayer of Ho’oponopono. With a single word, this prayer embodies “I am sorry, Please forgive me, I love you, Thank you.”
Before I learned this prayer I used to keep reaching out after an argument, feeling so uncomfortable with the state of disagreement and wanting to fix it. But this constant attempt at reconciliation can muddy the waters when it is driven from lower vibration feelings like guilt and shame. Now that I know the Ho’oponopono prayer, I have been able to soothe my self judgement by repeating this prayer quietly in my heart to my friend, every time I feel bad about what happened.
If you are arguing with someone in your life, try this prayer practice. Close your eyes and envision the person standing in front of you. From your heart, speak these words “I am sorry, Please forgive me, I love you, Thank you.” Keep repeating the words while looking this person in the eye inside your mind until you feel your sadness lift.
